ExpiryGuard ("we", "our", or "us") provides an inventory freshness management application for merchants using Shopify. We are committed to protecting your store's data.

1. Information We Collect

When you install ExpiryGuard on your Shopify store, we access specific information required to run the service:

• Shop Information: Your store URL, email address, and plan type.
• Product Data: Product titles, images, inventory levels, and prices (to calculate value at risk).
• Metafields: We read and write specific metafields (`expiry.date`) to your products to store expiry information.

Note: We do not access or store your customers' personal data (names, emails, or shipping addresses).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Track expiry dates and calculate "Value at Risk" metrics.
• Automate the "Morning Audit" to check for expired items.
• Display the "Freshness Badge" on your storefront via Theme Extensions.

3. Data Retention

We retain expiry records for as long as you have the app installed. If you uninstall the app, your configuration data is removed in accordance with Shopify's data retention policies.
